Have we discussed my love of Futurama yet
Who remembers
Motherfucking Scholastic
Book
Orders
And then the magical travelling romani circus of scholastic would randomly show up and you’d never care to buy any books but they had AWESOME gadgets and toys for sale
at the motherfucking BOOK FAIR
….I got my very first hardcover Harry Potter book (Goblet of Fire) from a scholastic book fair.
…I also used to order Shounen Jump through their book catalogs. :y
I always got so damn excited any time new book orders arrived.
And the book fairs… Man I was like a kid in a candy store. But with paper and stories instead of sugar and rotting teeth.
Although, sugar cane can also be used to make paper, so perhaps these book fairs and candy shops aren’t so different after all… I smell a conspiracy theory coming on!
I’m jealous of the people who see you every single day. I’m jealous of the people you talk to. I’m jealous of the people who make you laugh. I’m jealous of the people who hang around you. I’m jealous of the people you flirt with. I’m jealous of the people you make fun of.I’m jealous of the people you hug. I’m jealous of the people who make you smile. I’m just jealous. You know why, because these people see you more than I do, make you smile and laugh more than I do, and get your attention more than I can.
The White Lotus travel to a distant village to discover the new Avatar - Korra!

I have a feeling that Korra is going to be one of my favourite characters in the franchise.
For me, I am driven by two main philosophies, know more today about the world than I knew yesterday. And lessen the suffering of others. You’d be surprised how far that gets you.

Tumblr, I know we are all tumbly and everything, and cats and Paula Deen Riding Things and Ryan Gosling Reading YA, and that’s all great. It’s perfect, really. I wouldn’t want to change it.
But can we just take a moment right now to be grateful and astonished that we are alive and able to bear witness to the universe? Can we just spend like four seconds letting it sink in that we are here, together, amid something much larger than we can effectively imagine?
